Alexander Shirunov has been declared a winner of the Competition for Young Teachers of St. Petersburg State Educational Institutions for Culture ‘Hopes of Teaching – 2015’, in the ‘Performing Teacher’ nomination.
The competition is founded by the Government of St. Petersburg and has been held annually since 2007. The nominees are performing musicians playing different instruments who have also shown their interest and have already achieved some results in teaching. This year, among the competing instruments played by the ‘Performing Teacher’ nomination contestants were piano, violin, cello, drums, domra, guitar, and accordion.
The competition’s five nominations winners will proceed further to compete for the St. Petersburg Government Prize for Education.
